Tracked access platform assisting the installation of a chimney liner saving hundreds of pounds in scaffolding hire
With our tracked access platforms we can reach a working height of 17 metres or 55 feet with two operators in the basket. Our equipment is light weight and can access narrow pathways and will even drive through a normal domestic doorway as it measures only 32 inches or 80 cm wide.
The platforms are available for hire with an experienced operator. Ideal for one day hires to undertake inspection or quick repairs where scaffolding would be cost-prohibitive.

Sectional tree felling in progress using our MEWP for access
This tree was situated above a steel barn alongside a lean to shed that had to be avoided during the work. Our mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) was ideal to get the tree removed without damaging the surrounding buildings. This and other projects in mid Wales have proved the worth of having a MEWP available time and time again in savings for our customers.

Traffic management is a vital requirement to ensure the health & safety of workers and public when working close to a road
Our staff are 'streetworks' accredited operatives, meaning that we can deploy traffic management systems when working on or near the highway. This keeps the management of all projects under one roof and enables us to offer a true one-stop solution, including all dealings with public authorities.
Our compact 4x4 tractor and ATV mounted equipment is ideal for single meadows, smallholdings, equine establishments and smaller farms
Our compact 4x4 tractor and ATV mounted equipment is ideal for single meadows, smallholdings, equine establishments and smaller farms. Being compact but powerful we can offer the services detailed below just like agricultural contractors who use large tractors, but without the damage often caused by these larger heavy machines such as compaction of the ground. We can also access small gateways easily and make tight turns in fields and enclosures ensuring that we can work close to hedges and fences, maximizing the effect of the services we carry out;
Tine Harrowing
Removes the thatch from the base of the healthy grass, aerating the soil to allow in air, light and water along with all the required nutrients to encourage healthy growth. This helps to maximize grass yield. If the ground is particularly uneven due for example to mole hills, then chain harrowing may be more effective.
Chain Harrowing
Like tine harrowing, removes the thatch from the base of the healthy grass, aerating the soil to allow in air, light and water along with all the required nutrients to encourage healthy growth. However our frame mounted chain harrows also level and breakdown minor undulations in the ground caused by mole hills and the like.
Over Seeding
This allows bare and patchy ground to be reseeded with the appropriate grass seed without the need for ploughing or disc harrowing. This reduces the chance of weeds taking hold, whilst still allowing stock to graze. Over seeding can be carried out individually or combined with harrowing.
Rolling
Rolling levels out uneven and poached ground caused by over wintering stock. This is an important process as rutted ground can lead to foot health problems for animals, particularly horses.
Topping
Regular topping prevents grass and weeds (ragwort, docks, thistles & nettles) from going to seed. It keeps the grass at optimum grazing length and encourages a strong and thick grass sward and prevents weeds from flowering and establishing seed.
Fertiliser Application
Application of fertiliser will encourage strong grass growth and increase yield. This will encourage strong grass growth and improve yield.
Spraying
Once a weed problem has been identified an appropriate weed killer can be applied, either by spot application or by boom application with our pressure regulated ATV mounted equipment. Our staff are trained and accredited to the PA1, PA2 and PA6AW standards, meaning that as well as applying herbicides by knapsack or ATV boom sprayers, we can also apply herbicides on and near water. We can also apply for the necessary permits from the Environment Agency and NAtural Resources Wales for you.
Small Bale Hay/Haylage Making
We can provide a complete hay and haylage making service which includes mowing, drying, baling and stacking.

Brooke Estate Management Ltd provides a range of services to land owners of all sizes from domestic clients to large local authorities and corporate clients. We are happy to quote for one off jobs or regular contracts regardless of size.
We pride ourselves on the high standards of service we provide in each of our speciality areas and we ensure these are delivered by:
- Using Qualified Staff. Our staff are trained and assessed to the relevant industry standards, most commonly the National Proficiency Tests Council so you know that they operate to a Nationally recognised standard.
- Working to exacting Health and Safety Standards to ensure that not only our staff stay safe but that you and your property are safe during the works we undertake.
- Using well maintained and appropriate equipment to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensuring each clients needs are fully understood and documented to ensure that we know exactly what you are expecting from us, and you know exactly how we plan to achieve this.

In addition to the core services we provide that are detailed on the left of this page, we have a number of broader skills that complement each of our speciality services. Examples of this include having staff that are qualified in traffic management under the City and Guilds 6156-01 scheme, so if the job you need us to undertake is adjacent to a road or public right of way we can safely manage this situation too. Other examples include having staff trained to IPAF standards in the use of mobile elevating work platforms, also known as cherry pickers so working at height can be undertaken to the safest possible standards, rather that using more conventional (and at times inherently dangerous) techniques such as climbing.
At Brooke Estate Management Ltd., we aim to ensure that we manage all the aspects of your needs for you. We will (as required) liaise with:
- Local Planning Authorities to ensure that issues such as Tree Preservation Orders are managed in accordance with legislation
- Utility Companies, and in particular Electricity Network Operators such as Western Power Distribution to ensure the work we undertake does not adversely impact on your neighbours and is undertaken safely.
- Highway Authorities when it is necessary to close a road or reduce traffic flow to ensure the safety of road users whilst we undertake your work.
Finally, we hold Public Liability Insurance for £5 million for your peace of mind
